DOUBRAVKA NOVOTNÁ - SOPRANO

Doubravka Novotná graduated from the Brno Conservatory and later from the Janáček Academy of Performing Arts, where she studied under soprano Helena Kaupová. Over the course of her career, she has been nominated three times for the prestigious Thalia Award (Hamlet, Alcina, The Excursions of Mr. Brouček) and twice for the Jantar Award (Der Spuck im Schloss, Juliette).

She made her debut at the National Theatre in Prague, where she has since been a regular guest. Her roles there include Oscar (Un ballo in maschera), the Queen of the Night (The Magic Flute), Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Frasquita (Carmen), Mařenka (The Bartered Bride), Lauretta (Gianni Schicchi/Don Buoso), and Madeleine (Ball im Savoy), among others.
